The standard recommended weight is 10% of your child's body weight, plus 1 lb. The chart below follows that recommendation, adjusted for length. For Queen and King weight recommendations, see the individual listings.

25 lb. Medium-high pressure (many people with strong sensory needs prefer a 25-30 lb. blanket)

King Sizes

 Weight Amount of Pressure
15 lb. Very light pressure (This feels like having several nice heavy blankets on top of you, but without the heat. Perfect for mild sensory issues or mild anxiety.)
25 lb. Light-medium pressure (This is a nice weight for moderate anxiety)
35 lb. Medium pressure (Many people with moderate to strong sensory needs prefer a 35 lb King sized blanket. People with Restless Leg Syndrome prefer this weight in the King as well.)
